Measured sky · Legacy Survey DR11

Three likely overlooked galaxies

These are observed g/r/i survey pixels. Each comparison shows the direct composite first and a non-generative cleaned estimate second.

Claim boundary The image plane is measured. Noise suppression is estimated. VR line-of-sight depth is simulated. These are overlooked candidates, not discovery claims.
Observed pixelsCleaned estimate
Observed and cleaned views of the resolved spiral candidate

01 · clarity benchmark

Resolved asymmetric spiral

The broad disk and asymmetric structure survive in the direct pixels. This is the clearest object in the set.

Position

1.2 billion light-years of lookback time, low-confidence photometric estimate
Catalog footprint
WISE and LEDA identities, two SIMBAD references, no NED image or spectrum
Observed pixelsCleaned estimate
Observed and cleaned views of the bent or clumpy candidate

02 · sparse catalog footprint

Bent or clumpy elongated system

Several connected concentrations form a coherent bent structure. One optical view cannot establish whether this is one disturbed galaxy or a close projected group.

Angular size
5.00 arcsecond fitted half-light radius
Approximate distance
2.7 billion light-years of lookback time from a quality-flagged photometric estimate

No SIMBAD match within 12 arcseconds; nearby automated WISE entry has no NED image or spectrum
Observed pixelsCleaned estimate
Observed and cleaned views of the thin edge-on disk candidate

03 · sparse catalog footprint

Thin edge-on disk candidate

The long, narrow component has an approximately exponential fitted profile. A bright overlapping source remains visible because the renderer does not invent an unobstructed view.

How to read this

Real light, bounded interpretation

The observed side maps registered Legacy Survey DR11 i/r/g bands to display red, green, and blue. It preserves noise, seeing blur, foreground sources, and detector artifacts.

The cleaned side suppresses weak unshared multiband noise. It does not use generative fill, deconvolution, or super-resolution. The VR view builds deterministic depth from the measured projection and fitted geometry. That depth is an explanatory model, not another observation.
